Cross-disciplinary EM and LM Meeting

Adventures at the Biology-Materials Interface

Monday 30 June at Manchester Central

Organised by Lucy Collinson, Ed Boyes and Jason Swedlow

This Cross-Disciplinary Imaging and BioImagingUK Meeting will take place at Manchester Central on Monday 30th June (just before mmc2014 starts) to bring a wide variety of imaging scientists together, enabling them to meet to agree joint initiatives. The goal of the meeting is to report on advances across a broad range of imaging domains and applications and identify opportunities for strategic collaboration between the biological and material imaging communities.

If you have registered for the meeting, details of how to get to the venue can be found at The Meeting will be taking place in Central Rooms 5 – 7, which are located in the Central Foyer main entrance – please just register at the main registration desk on arrival.


Registration will take place from 10.30 – 11.00 am on Monday 30th June, and you will be given a badge and a programme and abstract booklet. Please can you wear your name badge at all times whilst you are at Manchester Central. You will receive an additional email from the RMS next week which will have a bar code on it, please can you bring that email with you to the registration desk at the meeting to collect your badge.

Lunch and Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be available in the meeting room from 10.30 – 11.00 and at 15.00 – 15.30. A buffet lunch will also be a served in Central Rooms 5 – 7 from 13.00 – 13.55. You are very welcome to go to the mmc2014 Plenary Lectures at 17.30 – 18.30 (to be given by Professor Ondrej Krivanek and Professor M Sheetz), and join the drinks reception in the Central Foyer from 18.30 – 19.30.


If you have also registered to attend the mmc2014 Conference, you will be able to collect your Congress bag from the Bag Collection Point after the Cross Disciplinary meeting has taken place.
